Strategy BJJ is affiliated to the world famous Grappling Fight Team or GF Team for short. Having recently become one of the top Brazilian Jiu Jitsu teams in the world, GF Team formerly known as Universidade Gama Filho (UGF) has had great success in not only Brazil since the 1990’s but world wide success through a series of excellent results at an international level and the continuous production of high level fighters such as Bruno Malfacine, Rodolfo Vieira, Ricardo Evangelista, Italo Lins to name a few. Under the direction of Professor Julio Cesar, GF Team has over 30 affiliate academies spread all over the world and we are proud to be one of those academies and the only GF Team Academy in Manchester!
OUR PROFESSOR - THIAGO "MONSTRO" BORGES - 3RD DEGREE BLACK BELT
Thiago Borges, better known as “Monstro” is one of the most active BJJ fighters around. A regular competitor in Europe, he holds various titles in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Luta Livre, Judo and MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) while also instructing at his gym in London and hosting several seminars around the country.
